Music Theory Lessons

In the music theory lessons we are going to learn about the theoretical side of music. This course is designed for students who want to learn how to play an instrument faster and for people who are purely interested in the theoretical side of music. These lessons are also suited for any level. The study plan is fully customizable to your current level, budget and goals.

Levels

Beginner

Learn basic music theory and how to read sheet music. Recommended lesson length – 45 min

Prepare for Conservatory, University auditions. We will cover in depth Solfege, Harmony, Form, Polyphony, Music history. Recommended lesson length – 60 min

Rates

Lesson minutes from €65 to €70 per hour incl. VAT. You buy minutes in the shop (30 to 300 at a time) and book lessons of 30, 45 or 60 minutes from them in the lesson portal, at times that suit you. Lessons are not mandatory every week: you get a study plan based on your budget and goals.

30 min €35 · 60 min €69 · 120 min €136 · 180 min €201 · 240 min €264 · 300 min €325 — the more you buy at once, the lower the hourly rate (€70 down to €65 per hour). The same rates apply to horn, trumpet and music theory.

These rates apply to lessons in my studio in Amersfoort only. Lessons at the other locations have their own rates, set by the school or association.

  • Free learning materials — provided in digital format at no cost.
  • Free trial lesson — the first lesson costs nothing. Create a profile in the lesson portal and pick a time yourself, in the studio or online. A horn is available in the studio for the trial lesson; trumpet players bring their own instrument.
  • Flexible lesson schedule — buy minutes once, then book 30-, 45- or 60-minute lessons whenever it suits you; minutes stay valid for 12 months.
